Maurita has four children: Destinee (10), Jessica (5), Steven (3), and Phillip (1).

CRISIS: Recently divorced and homeless. They were living in the County Shelter. Maurita was referred to Restore Hope for clothes and gasoline for a job interview. The father is not providing child support.
RHM's HELP: Provided clothing, gasoline, housing assistance, better employment opportunity, food, furniture, household goods, and case management services. We are currently working on Maurita's educational opportunities and support for the children.


Jimmy and Gloria have three children: Christopher (9), Jonathan (7), and Tyler (6).

CRISIS: Tyler is going through chemotherapy following a bone marrow transplant to treat his acute myeloid leukemia. The family has no medical coverage and Jimmy's work has been inturrupted with Tyler's frequent hospitalizations.
RHM's HELP: Provided a new bed and bedclothes for Tyler (Doctor's orders). Volunteer team to make much needed repairs to their home. Food, clothing, a second bed, case management support, and prayer have also been given.
Special note: Gloria prayed to receive the Lord during a counseling session with our Chaplain. Unfortunately, Tyler passed away in January 2001. Restore Hope is continuing to work with Gloria and Jimmy.
