FAMILY - TO - FAMILY SPONSORS

     The Christmas season is full of unexpected joy and generosity. We love how emotional we get as we read or watch "The Christmas Carol", or witness the simple expression of love offered by "The Little Drummer Boy". We are always moved to tears at the end of "It's a Wonderful Life". And, of course, we are most effected by God's most precious gift to us all, the Christ Child. These feelings of joy and wonder are desperately needed today, especially for children. We believe our "Family-to-Family Sponsorship Program" is a perfect way for you to share your joy and wonder in the true spirit of the Christmas season.
     The "Family-to-Family Program" is simple. We match sponsoring families (or groups) with one of our client families. Sponsors contact "their" family, decide on the purchase of appropriate gifts, and arrange for the delivery of the gifts.
     Restore Hope Ministries' "Family-to-Family Sponsorship Program" is full of fun, joy, and all the inner warmth we look for at Christmas. Individual families or small groups can join the "Family-to-Family Sponsorship Program" in one of two ways: Option I: Register as a "Family-to-Family Sponsor" by contacting Restore Hope at (918) 582-5766. Or Option II: Provide a "Family Sponsorship Grant". Grants wil be given to "Sponsors" who are willing but can not afford to participate. An average grant is $150 (all size grants are welcome). Make your checks to Restore Hope Ministries and mark them "Family-to-Family Sponsorship Grant".
     We hope to match dozens of families from across our city with families who could use a personal lift. The unanticipated call from a total stranger, with the offer of gifts for their children, has been known to cause a flood of grateful tears and shouts of joy. These face to face meetings have literally changed the direction of many lives.

     Each December Restore Hope Ministries sets up a Christmas Gift Room. The room is stocked with toys, blankets, household items, coats, hats, gloves, underwear, and new clothing. Each client is allowed to select one item for each member of their family. Mitten trees, toy drives, blanket drives, and "Undie Sunday", are a few creative ways congregations have used to stock the room.
     Last December we invited 1,427 clients to receive gifts. Items for the Gift Room may be brought to the ministry until Christmas. If you would like to volunteer to assist in the Gift Room, please call (918) 582-5766.
