Join us as we celebrate 35 Years of Restoring Hope…
…and help us dedicate our new warehouse!
In February of 1978, a group of churches got together to help people coming to them asking for help. 35 years later, we are still restoring hope for Tulsa-area families in need every day. Though we’ve moved a few times since then, our foundational purpose remains the same. That’s why we would like to celebrate this great milestone and, at the same time, show off the facilities we use to serve this mission.
Part of those facilities is VERY new, as the result of what was then a disaster for our agency. On February 6, 2011, 10 feet of snow collapsed our warehouse roof. After months of construction, we are fully moved in and excited to show it off. In addition, because of his 25 years of service and leadership, we are excited to dedicate this new warehouse in honor of Rev. Lawrence Johnson, the long-time Executive Director of Restore Hope Ministries.
The event will be at Restore Hope (2960 Charles Page Blvd.) on Saturday, April 20, from 1:30-3:30 pm with an open house from 1:30-2 followed by a more formal presentation. Bishop Robert E. Hayes, Jr. will join us for this special occasion . We hope you will join us too!
We also hope you will prayerfully consider giving to our “Raise the Roof” fund. A few unexpected major additions raised the amount of funds needed to complete the warehouse re-building project . To date, we have raised over 97% of the amount needed to pay for this project . With your help, we will not only have a bigger warehouse to help more people with more food, we can continue restoring hope for many more years to come.
Make checks payable to “Restore Hope Ministries” with “Raise the Roof” in the memo line. If you would like to join in celebrating the leadership of Rev. Lawrence Johnson, please note “Dedication” in the memo. You can also donate online at our secure donation website.
