Our Mission

Restore Hope’s mission is to restore families in financial crisis to economic and spiritual vitality. This mission is realized in our programs to reduce hunger, prevent homelessness, and provide emotional and spiritual nurture.

Our Approach

At Restore Hope Ministries, we believe that helping our neighbors through difficult circumstances means addressing immediate needs while working toward greater stability. Through rental assistance and eviction prevention, food assistance, and opportunities for emotional and spiritual support, we seek to help individuals and families navigate financial crises and move toward a more stable future.

Rooted in our Christian faith, our work reflects a commitment to loving God and loving our neighbors through practical service, compassionate relationships, and community partnerships. We welcome people of all faiths and no particular faith, and assistance is never conditioned on religious belief or participation.

Our History

Restore Hope Ministries was founded in 1978 by Tulsa-area United Methodist congregations with a commitment to helping families experiencing financial hardship. What began as a ministry providing emergency assistance has grown over nearly five decades into an organization serving thousands of Tulsa-area households each year.

From its longstanding home on Charles Page Boulevard to the expansion of services in South Tulsa through the Asbury Development Center, Restore Hope has continued to grow and adapt in response to the needs of our community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Restore Hope played a significant role in the region’s housing stability response, administering approximately $63 million in emergency rental assistance to help families remain in their homes during an unprecedented crisis.

Today, Restore Hope continues its mission through hunger reduction, homelessness prevention, and emotional and spiritual support, building on a legacy of compassionate service and community partnerships.
